SpineProbe [CEMAX ICON]

SpineProbe software provides the radiologist and orthopedic andneurosurgeon with multiplanar images (MPRs), which allow visualization ofstructures in the spine for diagnosis and/or surgical planning. Many ofthe images are filmed lifesize allowing the clinician to obtain directmeasurements. Curved multiplanar reformations are necessary to moreaccurately examine the spinal canal. The package provides the facility toset and compute curved coronal MPRs that track the spinal cord.SpineProbe produces films of structures of interest in the spine in boneand soft tissue contrast. Side-by-side presentation of the images indifferent contrast is an option for improved visualization of bone andsoft tissue structures. Lifesize images are cross-correlated by sets oftick marks that allow quick orientation in multiple planes. theorientation of images can be user-defined, and by default follows theconventions established by the MDPI spine protocol.The package defaults let the user generate a set of films equivalent tothe MPDI package. The user has the flexibility to customize it for theneeds of the department or referring physicians.
